Kenneth Hayden's conversations

Look Pavilion maybe were the Design Engineer..

Was drafted into the US Army and stationed at Fort Huachuca from about October 1966 through 1 AUG 1968 after basic training and assigned to the 557th Signal Company which moved to Ft. Huachuca from Ft. Lewis, WA. I was the Group Draftsman 81A20 mostly making maps, view graphs, charts and drawings. I worked for for an E10 named Tallquest. sp??. After the patch was finished I was sent to engrave some words about the fort and the Stratcom Patch just below it in a pad of concrete. They wanted a painted and engraved Stratcom Patch with the words written from a pad of paper. I did my best but, it did not look very good using the tools provided. Nothing was mentioned to me so I am not sure it was used for the Generals dedication and speech at the patch. Sorry the patch is gone. It wasted a lot of equipment and had some injuries building it.
