An aerial video of this fallen bridge will be available soon. email me at garryfoley@sky.com if you are interested.

This entrance leading to the booking office at Threlkeld Station island platforn was at road level and went under the up line. Today it is bricked up as the Station platform has long gone.

A beautiful Sir Thomas Bouch Upright Bowstring bridge spanned the river here. Tragically 2 men lost their lives during its demolition.

Heavily strengthened with concrete pillar to take the weight of the modern road use on the old A66 from Bridgefoot to Broughton Cross.

Note the metal fence in the distance. This belongs to the railway line between Daisy Hill and Hag Fold Stations which ran under this Bolton-Kenyon Junction line approx 100 yards further on from this photo.

The Alignment splits at approximately this point with the orginal alignment staying left and the 2nd, newer, lower, alignment falling away on the right. The original alignment climbed to cross the A6 at Chequerbent at road level with the new alignment going under the A6.

Im guessing there was a bridge here to allow field access.

All that remains of the bridge. The land either side has been returned to the original 19th Century elevation with the embankment gone.

This Bridge is 1 of a pair set of 2 aligned "end to end". The other is out of view (Bridge No 65) on the other side of the stone pillar. The now caravan/holiday park (former bobbin mill) is just visible through the trees.

The 2 River Piers were demolished in 1983
