I was stationed at Octopus TROPO 1964-1965, at that time it was manned by the 362nd sig co. attached to the 39th sig. bn. It is great looking back in time, tthe octopus on the banner is not the same as the 362nd logo we had. thanks for the memories!!
This is a great shot of the airfield. I was transferred to Long Thanh in Feb 72 when the 101stAB stood down and left me behind. I was in the 362nd AvnCo CH-47s, 3rd Bde (S) 1st Air Cav Div. I wish I had some photos like this to show my family. Thanks for the good memories of the guys.

This is US Army Special Forces Camp A-411. Notice the South Vietnamese flag flying over the camp as we were not allowed to fly the American flag. The heavy green folage area around the camp indicates the minefield area.
