This is best picture of the base. Brings back a lot of memories. I served at An Hoa air base for over 7 months in 1968 with the 7th Marines. I can even see my old hooch and other buildings I remember.
I worked in the COC (Center of Command) old French Bunker below the tower on the right. In the eighties I met a guy in my own home town that built the tower while I was there. He was in the Seabees. Small world.

Those are actually F-104 Starfighters, probably on temporary duty (TDY) from the U.S. They were air defense interceptors.
