Thanks for your comment. The man opporite us on the 'conventional train' on the way up seemed to be staring at my girlfriend's legs, so I didn't involve him in conversation. Which was a pity, because it turned out he was the driver of he steam engine on the way back. We'd planned to stay in Makkaig, but when I was organising a hire car I learned that my mother's half-sister lives in Morar (and owns the garage where we got a hire car), so we were able to stay with her. Been meaning to do this trip again, but last month I moved from Scotland to South Wales, so it's no longer as easy as just hopping on a train at Glasgow. Cheers!
Update to my comment on June 25th 2008. Loved it so much - I moved here and now experiencing this weather first hand!!! (£2m of damage to the illuminations this weekend due to high gales!!!)
Scottish exile now living at Fairhaven Lake, Lancashire, England - stunning scenery and wildlife (inc. RSPB at the lake) . Enjoying myself looking for photo opportunities (.....and missing most of them!!!) Armed with my trusty little compact camera - all 12 mp of her - I go out and just have fun! No David Bailey - but who cares - not me!!! Enjoying myself!!!

Glad you like this photo! Totally undoctored and taken with a small compact digital camera (love my camera) - 12mp.
