This is called the Queen Elizabeth bridge or QE2 bridge not Dartford bridge.

This bay was not easily accessible to the public until about 1960. It has no recognised name in English. In Welsh, and cartographically,  it is 'Porth Dinewiaid', meaning Innocents' landing place or Innocents' Cove'. Why this name, I don't know, but there must be a good and probably interesting reason for it. It would be a pity for the proper name to be lost.

I remember when these were new!

This is Angel Bay. I was born in Penrhyn Bay and lived there for the first twenty one years of my life, till 1979, and this was always Angel Bay!!
