someGuyinmasset's conversations

Hi Derek, This whole issue has been a major disappointment for me; probably my own fault for spending too much time enjoying every aspect of what made Panoramio so appealing to people like us. I can't help but feel a major resentment toward Google for their lack of respect and disregard of Panoramio's contributions to their viewers, and of course, their deep pockets. I certainly don't mind sharing my photos with the world, but I believe Google has lost all interest in retaining quality photographs. The only positive point I can see in leaving photos here is them being viewable in GE.

If you are still considering a different photo sharing site, it seems that a lot of the serious and/or professional photographers on this site have already joined Ipernity and consider it to be the best alternative; several others have joined 500px. I will most likely check out these two options in hopes of staying in touch with some mighty fine people (like you) that I've had the privilege to get to know here on Panoramio.

You will always hold a special place in my heart.....

WOW! What an incredible capture. You won't find any better proof of extra terrestrials than this. Yet, the skeptics STILL deny the existance of extraterrestrials. Have you showed this pic to that Jaime guy or the Anicent Aliens people. You should sell this picture to science. You would make millions. I can't believe you got THAT lucky!

I was a deckhand on this ship in 1981. It was owned by a company called Magnum Explosives.... we hauled Nitro and blasting powder up and down the coast to logging camps and mine sites for blasting roadways and such... it was a great little ship... Frank Culbart was the skipper.. a real idiot. NO idea how it became a BC Ferries ship. Funny I have not seen it since 1985 or so and about 3 months ago I saw it competitor the MV Klassen tied up on the North end of Sechlet by the ferry terminal to Powell river. Great memories..
