I think the trick is not to let it become an obsession. I have seen a few galleries where you can actually see the progression from casual use to obsessive use. I suspect those who use it obsessively cant stand the sight of a picture that isnt obviously HDR. I have noticed that my own use of Paintshop Pro is verging on obsession as I learn how to use things like the curve tool, levels tool and layers. Now I find it hard to resist 'improving' all my pictures even the ones I would have thought were fine in the past. As Im also responsible for processing Undas photos (she refuses to let me teach her some basic editing skills) Im finding I have less time for everything else because Im too busy 'fixing' pictures.
