A pair of nominate sp. Eurasian Bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula pyrrhula). Irkutsk and Baikal is at the southern edge of this variety's breeding range, and the population may be variably augmented by post-breeding migrants from the north/northwest. A similar plumaged subspecies 'cassini' occurs in Ussuri and China but does not stray this far west.
