That photo was taken on bond brook, it empties into the west branch of the Deerfield river south of summerset reservoir.

All gone except for those casks of radioactive waste way in the back, just to the left of the last light pole off in the distance.

It is Lincoln Peak, Sugarbush

Iths Lookin Norph at mount ellenth.

The picture only hints at the size of the tower. It completely dominates the landscape. It is an enormous hydraulic shock absorber at the end of a several mile long tunnel filled with water coming from the Harriman Reservoir. If the power station operators need to shut down the flow, the moving slug of water in the tunnel piles up into the tower.

always bring water to any place where the air and ground are dry.

maybe precut stone but that is an old mtn it might be a natural formation, this is national park after all.

Remember those same rocks. Climbed the trail with the Boy Scout troop #39 Worcester, MA circa 1958. Trails were not marked well, half the troop took one trail and we took another. And both trails was dangerous. But we were lucky and good (no one got hurt) and now remembering that hill/mountain climb of 6 hours. Suspecting the trails are marked better today. Once getting it to the top the view must be just as spectacular as it was 50 years ago. I remember the top was a wind swept view with little or no tree to interupt a view of New England, just a super view and all our canteens of water were empty.

Whitingham Dam "Glory Hole" is dam overflow.
