Gracias por sus amables comentarios, tiopepe. Saludos de Montana, Eve

feelthebreeze, I had a point and shoot Sony camera with a 12X zoom. I was right next the road and took tbe shot through the open door of the snowcoach I was riding in. The animal was probably 75 feet away. I would not get out of the vehicle with the bison that close (mostly because it would stress them, which is very bad for them in the winter). You are wise to have a healthy respect for them. They are very large (bulls may weigh over a ton) and can run 35 mph.
