Commencée au XIIème siècle, interrompue durant près de 4 siècles, la construction de l'église Saint-Genêt reprit fin XVème, début XVIème siècle. Elle s'est poursuivie au cours du XIXème siècle.

L'église Saint-Genêt est inscrite à l'inventaire supplémentaire des monuments historiques.
