Built in Dutch colonial style similar to house in Amityville Horror movie.
Would love to sneak in there at dark or dusk to create spooky images using a model.

Hey thanks! It is some sort of an artillery station. At the end of the tunnel was a wide opening that housed these huge cannons. The only remainder of them are the metal track marks in the concrete though...although the door at the end (pictured) led to some deep caverns that are only accessible through a rather roundabout manner.
I didn't get permission to go to Hart Island...just kayaked out there, which was pretty stupid considering its proximity to Rykers Island and the legal consequenses of trespassing on there.
