This is a popular local public bath house, frequented by ordinary Japanese. For an authentic experience of traditional onsen, unaffected by tourists, it doesn't get better than this. Locker keys are slotted wooden blocks. Allow plenty of time; there are 14 stages to complete including the 'outdoor' bath. Remember to take your own 'hand towel' and soap.
