Not quite. The line of the 20th ME extended to the left some 100 yards to where the regimental monument stands today. Until they refused their left flank during the attack, THAT was the end of the Union line.
I gathered you didn't live there and were just passing over head and looking from one of these Magnificent Balloons If its wine country that might account for the big houses and property below.Big open space just like Australia.I am pleased that you came to Tasmania while on your cruise.I believe Hobart is quite nice,although, I have never been there, but I know plenty of people who do.The area where I live in the south of Western Australia in similar to the climate in Hobart also.
