David, are you aware of Google's plans to migrate to Views and close Panoramio down. As far as we can tell, the comments and groups will all be lost and pictures not selected for GM/GE may also disappear (they have not been clear on this). If you want to keep Panoramio as it is, please sign the petition at change.org.
There are also discussions on the support forum and a group has been formed
http://www.panoramio.com/group/464501 to oppose the change.
Best wishes, Laurence
Guau!! bonito rojo!!
Strange that for such an incredible image, I am the first to comment after nearly six years. This is a perfect solar eclipse shot, something which you would have to prepare and practice for, to get the right exposure in the limited few minutes available. Well done!
PS: that beautiful pink prominence is the icing on the cake!
: ) )
A beautiful eclipse image. A nice diamond ring effect and some nice prominences!
: ) )
I realise I am nearly nine years late - but well done, I like this image of a wonderful phenomenon. I also admire your foresight to look down, when everyhing is happening up above during thoe few short minutes!
: ) )
James Bond!!!! F+L
It's a Spitifire V trop.
First, the Hurricane wings aren't thin like these
Second at top of wing, there is a bubble who only spitifire have.
That bubble is needed to positioning the 20mm cannon.
Third the Hurry have two 20mm cannon ( Hurricane II ) or four 7/7 machines guns in each wing!
The exaust pip don't means nothing, Spit Mk I-II and V have these pips too They are the same of Hurry, Don't forget that Spits and hurries used the same engines: Rolls Royce Merlin! in some versions! The hurry have the XX , Spit V have the 45
After the MkV the exaust pip became six with merlin 65! The latest version of Spits (21-22 ) used Rolls Royce Griffon!
I Hope is enougth!
Hi Helmut, thank you for your appreciation. The image is a composition of various frames taken with a Magzero MZ-5 camera, coupled to a 80 mm f/7.5 telescope and equipped with a Baader Ca-K filter.
