Heh, I wondered the name of the hall and township, according to WIKIPEDIA in French the word "embarrass" means "to hinder with obstacles or difficulties." Obviously the French fur traders had some difficulties with the river they had given so embarrassing name as Embarrass. Furthermore it situates in St. Louis county.
I noticed Jouko has shared pictures from places, "joilla on hyvin supi-suomalaisia nimiä." It's been interesting to watch them while googling up background info from the places. At the X-mas time I probably read a whole book via da net dealing with Yooperland's mines etc. - copper tastes still my mouth.

This little cemetery is where my grandparents and Uncle Paul are buried. Many of my fondest childhood memories are from vacations spent on my grandparents farm just a couple of miles from this cemetery.

This Old Barn looks just like one that was on my grandparents' farm in Babbitt, Minnesota.
