Joo, tuo on aika mukava paikka viettää aikaa kesäisin. Muistaakseni kesäkuussa aloittelevat ja altaassa on vettä maanantaista perjantaihin. Tosin viime kesänä muistan todistaneeni pitkiä vedettömiäkin jaksoja.

This windmill is 12 meter high and the diameter of the blades is 3.7 meters.It is mainly there for educational purposes.

During the summer the water tempereature can be 23 degrees Centigrade and the sauna next to the beach is heated to be 80C!

Picture taken when the river was flooding due to heavy rain. Usually the steps in the background are more visible and there are fisher men on right side of the river bank (and they catch fish!). There is a nice bar/restaurant in the red barn just visible. Picture was taken from a pedestrian bridge.

This is a view from the Vantaa river to Pikkukoski beach, taken while it is still relatively cold. During the summer is crowded with beach goers and swimmers.

The Vantaa River valley has been cleared for future power line re-alignment. Looks bad now, how about in ten years?

Step Rock (porraskalliot) got its name because it used to serve as a rock quarry for Russian Empire in the late 19th century and later for use of cobble stones in Helsinki and other cities. Rock was hauled all the way Tallinn, Estonia for the use of the Military Academy steps.
