Yeah you have no idea. I was lucky to find a place to pull over at. The drive was mountian right on one side and rushing river on the other. I found a camp of river rafters only from their camp fire. I ended up spending the night there and this was the morning after. There is no phone service for at least 50 miles each way, and the closest gas station was 30 miles away. Good story though.
