Hi there Trevar,
Well you’re sort of right, but from about 1985 the Jervis Bay Territory (JBT) was a distinct and separate entity: This is what the Federal Attorney-General’s website says about it :
Although the Jervis Bay Territory is not part of the Australian Capital Territory, the laws of the ACT apply, in so far as they are applicable and, providing they are not inconsistent with an Ordinance, in the Territory by virtue of the Jervis Bay Acceptance Act 1915.
I love spotting the extremely rare Jervis Bay car number plates. They are the same blue and white format of the ACT but clearly say Jervis Bay Territory. Send me yr email address and I will send a photo of one I spotted in Nowra.
As for finding the easternmost (and northernmost) points of the ACT, I just used local topographical maps along with my trusty Garmin GPS. I’m pretty sure that point is a nature reserve on the ACT side and a state forest on the NSW side.
Have you seen my photos of the easternmost point of NSW just off Balls Pyramid, 27 km SE of Lord Howe Island ? Or Australia’s largest survey peg, the One Tonne Post just outside of Mungindi NSW / Qld , where the 29th parallel boundary meets the Barwon River ?
I call myself a “Grenzologist”, a word I made up myself, a lover of borders !

PS love the silhouette shot !

Cameron Corner is often referred to, erroneously, as Cameron's Corner.
The same applies to Charlotte Pass (The highest locality in New South Wales), NOT Charlotte's Pass or The Kimberley, (Western Australia) NOT The Kimberley's.
These are the correct names as ruled by the relevant State Government Geographic Names Board.

Gee thanks Eva, yours is the first comment I've ever got, I think. I was hoping it (as well as my other dozen or so pics) would come up as the Blue Dots in Google earth - but months after I've posted them nothing yet !
But your nice smiley has made all of that up for me ! Thanks, from a chilly (16 degree) but beautifully sunny Sydney !

This shows an attention to detail that's just scarey! Well done, keep it up.
