Ik en wat andere buren, waaronder buurvrouw de Ruiter(91) zijn aan het reconstrueren van wie de panden geweest zijn en wie er allemaal gewoond hebben en wanneer. Jo (Hannie) Schaft, (aka the girl with the red hair), member of the Dutch resistance during WW II, is buried at the Honorary cemetery at Bloemendaal. Hannie Schaft was involved in several actions against the German occupier and collaborators. She was arrested shortly before the war ended and executed near this place in the "Kennemerduinen" She was reburried here in attendance of HM the Queen Wilhelmina among 371 other members of the Dutch resistance.
