Coniston Water from Beacon Head, 0ne of the English Lake District's more famous lakes. This is where, in January 1967, Donald Campbell, the world water speed record holder, pushed his boat, the Bluebird to 320 mph. Almost at the end of the measured kilometre it left the water, turned cartwheels and crashed killing Campbell immediately.
On the north coast of Curacao there is this area of exposed coral reef. As the waves roll in water is forced through cracks and holes in the rock. The air in there already is forced out all over the area with a gasping, wheezing sound. The locals call this area "Old Man's Lungs".
The Stater Hotel, Durango. What a great place to stay! Honky-tonk piano bar, great restaurant, girls in Victorian mini skirts and waiting for the saloon punch-up at any moment!
We also got electric shocks off anything metalic. Apparently a well-known phenomenem but to the dryness of the atmosphere encouraging a build-up of static.
Originally owned by the monks of Worcester Cathedral, then by a local brush factory for making wooden handles and now by the wildlife conservationists. On one of the only two snowy days of the year!
The Norfolk home of the Royal Family. Every year they have a laarge 'Garden Festival' in the grounds of the palace. The grounds and gardesn are open to the public to wander around but this is as close as you can get to the house.

What a lovely picture. Looked up Rossland as we are visiting in October - don't suppose there'll be snow by then.
