This home was built in 1850 by Robert Hallum for John C Eldridge, who moved here in 1850 from Halifax Co, VA. The home and it's history are documented and pictured in "Historic Homes of Washington County" by Betty Plummer. Sold (along with 630+ acres) by Eldridge family to Henry Muegge in 1903 for $13,790.

I didn't actually get on the property. My camera kit includes a 300mm lens so I was able to stay on the sidewalk and zoom in for this shot.

If is, or was, a beautiful building and I hope that it can be preserved.

Wonderful Picture!!!

Great pics, would love to see these places in person myself sometime!

This house was built in 1849-50 by John C. Eldridge (from Halifax Co, VA). Sold by his heirs in 1903 to Muegge family, who still own it as far as I know.

Not abandoned-run down yes but-actually very historical site which includes a carving from Bonnie & Clyde on the side wall of one of the units. But nice picture dude!

Love this old building!
