Every year in August at Nea Michaniona the Dormition of Holy Mary is celebrated by 20 - 30 thousand believers. In the 22th of August every year the procession of Holy Mary's icon takes place. Thousands of believers are waiting patiently for many hours to pass under the icon of Holy Mary and be blessed. It's one of the greatest religious celebrations in Greece.
