Sixty seven now, sixty eight this year retired jack of all trades who likes a pint or a drop of red wine. Suffering at the moment with bad knees, right knee partial replacement coming along nicely, the other is there weeks old now and also coming on nicely.

Hate to say it, but that's not the Orme.

actually it was demolished by a Manchester property developer who had owned it since 1961 and tried to get permission to replace it with an estate of "executive" houses.

These rocks are special forms of precambian rock not seen elsewhere in Britain. Ypu will also see igneous "plugs" in places. The rock chemistry and sea air attract a special pattern of algae and lichens - this picture demostrates this with orange, white and grey lichens in a pattern that instantly says "Anglesey".

That is a yucca. They are native to where I live in Texas. They grow all over the place here.
