Before the developers moved in to build what is now called Thistledown, a roman farmhouse was unearthed.

This plaque marks the spot where Julius Caesar is supposed to have landed leading the Roman invasion of Britain in AD55.

A journey down the river Stour starting from Sandwich, Kent eventually leads to the estuary where one can see kingfishers, herons, egrets, whimbrels, cormorants, numerous other unusual birds and surprisingly a colony of seals. There is road access to the nature park between Richborough and Cliffsend.

This is the new MIllennium Bridge over the River Liffey in Dublin

This lake in the Wicklow Mountains, near Dublin is said by the Irish to represent a pint of Guinness with its black waters and fine white sandy beach.
