Actually, the view is just northeast of Richland, Oregon a bit, abut 41 road miles east of Baker City and shows part of the Burnt River arm of the Brownlee Reservoir on the Snake river,
It's always beautiful there. I've been told that when it rains here the colors are deeper and the clays expands. Snow would be very interesting also.
I want to stop by here for a another sunset shot in the near future. Oh if your lucky during the spring yellow flowers try to grow in the clay where water flows. It's short lived because the clay wont allow plants to grab hold and not be washed away, but it's pretty all the same.
I know, not the greatest picture, but boy what a dark cloud overhead! I felt like I was chasing a storm that day, in and out of heavy rain and hail with lightning striking all around, lots of fun!
