The location is too far for this photo. It should be about 500 meters north-northeast of the Gilbert Bridge north end. I should know because I was born and raised in Laoag City before I came overseas.

This tree is almost 500 years old according to the Chomorroans who lived in the area. Old folks says that this tree has been here since Ferdinand Magellan-Discover from Spain landed in this area on March 6, 1531. The tree has almost five (5) feet in diameter and still growing full of life with fresh green leaves throughout the year.

The biggest of the six Bells in Laoag. The Bellfry is sinking almost every year according to the people, but the bells keeps on ringing every 5:00 PM every day since it was built back in the 16th century.

This Bell tower contains 6 different sizes of bells and every 5:00 P.M. they are rang and can be heard in nearby town. Observe people making the sign of the cross when these bells are rang.
