Hi Antony. Lovely atmospheric photo, which brings back memories of the 1990s and ferrying you around.

Am sitting here in southern Spain having sentimental journeys on my PC.

I just had a look at the look around, and you can be proud of your depiction of this area. It stands out as being excellent.

This photo is so surreal, with the elements falling into place, the upturned tree, with languishing serpentine roots, the vivid tree thrown up against such a shocking blue sky, the glassy water, and amidst all of these elements, the gush of white water, precise and neat as a cut with a knife into the fabric of the scene. Amazing!! Alice in wonderland or magic mushroom stuff, really so startling in many respects!

In this picture, the more I look at it, the more all the elements of the composition radiate out from that central gash of water. I must give this a Y* as I want to keep looking at it!

My very best wishes to you, sorry to 'go on' so, but I really enjoy climbing into photos.

Sue

The meeting of two forces of nature, fire and water! Fantastic fiery foliage, and light thrown onto the calming water. It really is a battle between the cool and the heat, in this photo. Brilliant!

By the way, I hope you can pronounce all these Welsh place names??? :D

ps, I forgot to mention that delicate twig standing clear of the water. Not a ripple around its form, it's a slender and fragile addition to the scene though. I expect it to break free and flow out of the frame at any moment.
