Actually, the way I heard it, the Mall contractor had already started to paint "Florence Mall" on the thing, but the City Council intervened. They didn't want to pay the contractors to 'paint over' perfectly good paint, so they changed the M to a Y' instead - Kentucky Ingenuity! If you're in town, visit Fillmore's Drive In for a real old fashioned 1950s burger experience! My mid-section proves it!
