I have since discovered that the church is vacant. It is a grade 2 listed building built in 1958. It is on the English Heritage list of heritage at risk. There is planning permission for a community centre of similar (and, I suppose, a church). Lottery funding but, apparently, no takers to date.
Thanks. Yours of NW London are fascinating. I came across you when I was looking for Twyford Abbey. I am drawn to the sort of urban grunge than manifests our contemporary society. That bit of London changed so quicky and without any forethought. The railway suburbs took one generation by surprise, the motor car took the next by an even more rapid surprise. The North Circular Road changed the whole district in less than a generation. Now it is changing all over again. I often go to Park Royal because our London office is on that end of Hanger Lane. I find the area around Hornsey just as fascinating.

I used to live in the Waghi Valley. The best ten years of my life and I miss it badly. Are you living in Dona now?
This is Wahgi River Bridge near Tsimil Wahgi EBC Station. Towards the east is the junction of road going to Nondugl staion and Highlands Highway.
Fantastic - I am impressed.
Thanks Nick, I shall have a look. I hope it is bought by someone sympathetic to it preservation
This is a brilliant picture. I know the footbridge well. Well done!

Yes and the clouds are dust not rain! The temperature at the time was about 36 degrees centigrade.
