Definitely the best restaurant in Nanyuki. That isn't saying much, but really it's a nice place. Follow the walkway into the tree, accept a table, have a drink, enjoy a very nice meal, and chat with the monkeys who, the couple of times I was there in early 2009, were amiable and did not beg (too much) for food. Not only would I go back if in Nanyuki, I would make a trip from Nairobi to see this place, among other sites and wildlife in the ranchland around Nanyuki.

I took this photo from the bus back to Seoul after visiting the DMZ. It's quite bizarre seeing these watchtowers every little ways. They're looking for North Korean commando units, I think.
Llamas are a rare sight in Kenya. This one is among those kept at the Mt. Kenya Game Ranch where they are a delight to both the Kenyans and the tourists. They have learned to use their hooves to defend against wild jackals.

Currently, Le Plaza Haiti hotel is the base of operations in Haiti for CNN - as it covers the catastrophic earthquake. The hotel survived in tact.

It's not nearly as famous as Rio de Janeiro - but Carnival time in Haiti is a very big occasion.
A herd of African Buffalo seen near Kenya's Rift Valley just before sunset.
A herd of exceedingly rare white zebra - among the cherished and well-guarded residents at the Mt. Kenya Game Ranch.
