Reading is my passion; I seem to read more mysteries than anything else (maybe that's because there are more mysteries PUBLISHED than anything else), but I also love history, biography, horror & supernatural, and the occasional witty Regency romance for pure escapism. Misuse and abuse of the language (English) pains me to no end; do English teachers do NOTHING anymore?
I'm also passionate about computer geekdom; I started with a Tandy 1000SL and a 2400bps modem when most of the current crop of geeks weren't even born yet, or were in diapers (1989) -- at one time, I spoke MS-DOS fluently, but that seems to be an obsolete skill; now I speak HTML/CSS (just as fluently).
I have been happily married for more than 20 years, and that, too, seems a very archaic skill -- the ability to stay married and be happy about it.
