Just look at the jewel in the middle. Too bad they didn't have time to build more like it. The first time I visited Columbus in 1967, it really stood out! It still does and is by far the best that Columbus has to offer. Says something about todays so called builders and architects, although I know that the workers that actually build the buildings now are follow the script. SAD.

Without a doubt, the prettiest building in Columbus and equal the Carew Tower in Cincinnati. They don't build them like that anymore. Too bad. NICE SHOT!

The contractor had painted "Florence Mall" on the water tower but the mall was not finished so the tower could not promote an area that was not complete. So instead of repainting the whole area of the tower the "M" was turned to a "Y'". And a Northern Ky icon was born. I grew up in Hopeful Heights in 70's and used to ride my dirt bike and race the large earth movers on what is now Mall Road when it was being built.
