I did not see anyone kayaking when I was there. But I will ask my friend and see if he can answer that. So, are you moving over there, or already there? Are you looking for a place to live?
The Cable-Stayed Bridge over the Mekong River between Pakxe and Thai-Lao Border crossing. As an ex-bridge builder myself, I found this bridge very interesting and I was surprised to see something like this.

Our Friends David and Ooy Collins live in Bangkok, and went with us to Laos, and Ban Veun-An. This photo was taken in the boat ride from Ban Veun-An, on the way to Muang San, on Khong Island. As a matter of fact, that is Muang San in the back-ground between David and Ooy.
This was our MAIN RIDE! This truck was stationed in Muang San, and was our ride from Muang San to Pakxe, and the Thai-Lao Border Crossing. Most of the time we would have 10-14 people riding in\on this Toyota Pick-Up. But it was very much appreciated!

The "Wat" (Buddhist Temple) in the Village of Ban Veun-An. My wife's father helped complete the Wat in 2003.

A photo taken from David and Ooy's Balcony in Bangkok, Thailand. The houses below were amazing!
