An interesting photo! I was attracted to this building by its isolated location on the map. This building is very close to the river, and in the satellite image, it looks like some fields a little west of this location are flooded. Was this building underwater (or was the area flooded) at some point, and perhaps that's why it was neglected and abandoned?
This is "Patriot" from the World Bird Sanctuary. I took this pic at Alton at one of their Raptor Bird shows. The Sanctuary should be on everybodies places to visit.

These two have left the nest but sat on this limb waiting for their mother to feed them..Quite a process.

I watched these eaglets from 4-1-2009 til they left in July.
I wanted to see this guys wing-span, but he would not lift off. His gesture told me to go away.
