Thank you again for all your comments Palmina. As you have now heard the Bamboo Bridge was only a 3 day temporary structure that spanned the Tyne to Gateshead and will by now have been dismantled. I think the only people to cross the structure were those who assembled it. I’m pleased you like the photos of Tynemouth Station and I used to travel to Tynemouth on the Train to school during the sixties.

Just read what it is on the net....thank goodness it's only temporary......I would be an Aussie that decided to do this wouldn't it? Cant stand the beauty of the Tyne and her bridges so thought they'd spoil it....... for a while (LOL) only my opinion,
