Thank you, dhanasekaran muthu, for your interesting comment. I enjoyed looking at your photos of colourful and elaborate kolams and I have done some searching too. I also have but have not posted photos of more elaborate kolams.
At the same time, I hope you understand that when I took this picture, I was interested not only in the kolam but in its setting and in the composition of the photograph. I feel that there is often beauty in simplicity.
