I took this as part of an update to a web story I did in 2000 (small image on this page). I wanted to see if the towers then in construction had obliterated the wetlands.
Fortunately, they have not. Moreover, the wonderful Hong Kong Wetland Park now forms an "information barrier" between the buildings and the real wetlands. As the picture shows, it is very popular. Too bad more urban planning can't be this forward-thinking...
