Awesome pictures. I traveled all the way to La Paz and Cabos in October 2010 through Loreto. Next time I am going through San Javier for sure. I can hardly wait!

I saw your photo while planning a day trip to the Bridgewater Lakes area, and decided I should try to get a similar one with the new view -- now including a wind farm!
When lava flowed down this valley from a nearby volcano some 32,000 years ago, parts of the thin surface crust bulged up and cracked. As the lava below drained, the "blister" collapsed to form these domes.

I was inspired by James Mead's photo taken from the same place almost 6 years earlier. Now the view includes a wind farm.
