I do believe I went into a cave here (photo to prove it, needs to be scanned and downloaded tho) with Peter in a zodiac boat. We had such an adventure! Forever in my heart, Peter, Ariel and NFLD!
OK! THIS WAS PETER BLODGETTS HOUSE!!!!!!!I spent many weeks here over the course of a few summers and one winter. Peter was a consummate gentleman and he is sorely missed by me. I think I've even seen his house in a movie...who lives here now and what is the status of it? Private home or is it a B&B? Peter had such dreams for the area that included a fine arts center in an old red schoolhouse down the road. He was going to have tourists from all over take art classes for a fee but also have townspeople hosting visitors (also for a fee) so they could experience Newfoundland hospitality. He knew the potential for tourism here. There would have been many jobs created through his endeavor if the Canadian government hadnt tangled his dreams with so much beauracratic red tape....my heart is forever in Newfoundland!
