Frank Warner's conversations

It was indeed a bakery owned by my Grandfather, Charles Horwood. He owned this shop and the bakery in Bovingdon. The bakers in Bovingdon ran this shop for many years up until the 80s until it was sold, I think it then became an Antiques shop. The bakers was a family run business handed down from father to oldest son for about 3 generations. My cousin Kevin now runs the shop in Bovingdon on the site of the old bakery there.

I lived in this house from 1953 - 1963

Nice shot.

Best wishes from La Coruña, Spain.

I used to walk down here as a child!! 45 years ago, now!! Thanks for the memory......

Is this the house where the guy is buried in the tomb on the chimney?

The current owner says the cat in the gate was added by the previous owner. He's a dog lover. I'd like to know if the bird was added by them as well. I wonder if he has ever thought about adding a dog - something for the cat to chase. :)

It's nice to see a different view of this house. I had no idea it was art deco. I'd like to know why the entire house doesn't have a blue tiled roof and when the blue tiled roof WAS added. It's a pretty house very much unlike the others around it. :)

love this little shop/post office

I like these English houses. They are beautiful. It is so different here from life in rural Wales. Many greetings, Annette.
