Previously known as 'ArtnScience' I am an Art-Loving, Scientist, Physician and Ethicist whose research, professional and personal interests are paired with a love of travel. I love going almost anywhere in the world, especially places where I can travel like a local resident and meet people. Lately, I travel by bicycle after getting to where I want my journey to begin. My camera helps me remember friends I make, local architecture and terrain through which I pass. I love all kinds of artistic endeavor; and, I enjoy painting, drawing and learning about Art History and Architecture. My combined interest in Art and Science made logical my web identity as **ArtnScience**. Leonardo Da Vinci is my personal hero. His scientific interests were as earth-shaking as was his art. Da Vinci's life personified Art & Science.

Hi Anand, Thanks for visiting and your comment / Like. Schifferstadt is a favorite historic site in my town. I was lucky to be able to capture it in snow. Best regards. -Art

Magnificent portrait! Greetings from Athens.

It's snowing again today, followed by freezing rain....groan!!! It's like death by many small cuts. :-(

Thank you Horst for visit and comment.

Hello Jarek from Poland. Thank you for new year greeting, and forgive my late reply.

Anand, I'm glad you like this one. Their hard cider is better than wonderful :o) Best regards. -Art

Amelia, Thanks for your nice comments about this photo. I took some time to set this up, unlike my usually impulsive stop and snap. St. Petersburg is definitely in the "Tropical" zone. It can get as cold as 40 degrees F in February but it can also be 80 degrees. In the summer it is boiling (that's when the Brits come :>). Best regards. -Art

Hi Amelia, Yes. I was really excited to see the new Salvador Dali museum. I had been in St. Petersburg in the 1980s and the old museum was pretty ordinary. Dali would not have liked it, but the architect of this one really incorporated Dali's mind into the building. We spent a few hours inside. There was a special exhibit of Picasso and Dali paintings of the same subject side by side and also paintings by each when they emulated the style of the other. I couldn't take photos of those but the permanent collection was open for non-flash photos. Best regards dear friend. -Art+
