Skärgårdsvän's conversations

Nice shot of this beautiful castle!

Days are getting shorter again - October 26, 2007.

This place had become famous by Vilhelm Moberg's book and movie "Utvandrarna" (The emigrants) as well as the opera-like 4-hours-stage-musical "Kristina från Duvemåla" composed and written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus (both ex-ABBA-members) which since its premier on October 7, 1995 in Malmö has broken all records in Sweden so far and meanwhile was translated into English for its US-debut on September 23rd and 24th, 2009 in New York's Carnegie Hall.

Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende as well as the President of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Poettering where guests on Bentheim castle just at the moment of this photo-shooting.

"Some streets are emptiness, dry leaves of autumn, rustling down an old alley ..." (Stockholm-Östermalm on Oct. 26, 2007)

View towards southeast from Kaknästornet, Stockholm's TV-tower, over to Fjäderholmarna-Islands, Oct. 26, 2007.

Along Djurgårdsbrunnsviken.

This photo was made just before sunset at a cranewatch-location on a cold and crisp evening in fall.
