Hi, I'm Berend, born in The Hague but I live in Maassluis since 1969. Previous I only made some snapshots during holidays. In 2007 I bought a digital SLR and started to make pictures as a hobby and not only during holidays. Since 2009 I try to photograph birds, it's like chasing but the birds stays alive. I've uploaded most of my photos in chronological order, so you can make the journey/hike with me. Pictures of my holidays are in labels starting with an asterix (*). I hope you like my pictures and hope to get constructive comments as I have much to learn. PLEASE NO INVITATIONS FOR GROUPS!!! Greetings from the Netherlands.

Great long exposure daylight effect Steve, I am hoping on an Albany trip later this year, looking forward to the capturing some of the Aurora Australis :)

Water's pumping, good sign .. :)

Even in the Netherlands you'll find people (mostly hunters) who don't like birds of prey and they left poisonous meat *ƤōƝƓ *. Luckily it's less then before and the fine is high and they loose their license to hunt. Thank you, greetings Berend

Thank you ver much *ƤōƝƓ *. They're not rare in the Netherlands but I could only made pictures at two occasions . Greetings Berend

I've seen them before *ƤōƝƓ *, but never could I take a picture. If you're lucky you'll find them in the evening in cities too. Thank you, greetings Berend

It's a magnificent looking bird *ƤōƝƓ *. For the Netherlands it was the first time that they hatched. Thanks, greetings Berend

They still bagged for food of the parents *ƤōƝƓ *. You'll find them nearly everywhere. Thanks, greetings Berend

Berend it was a great place well worth a second trip with more time. Thanks Steve
