Hi, I'm Berend, born in The Hague but I live in Maassluis since 1969. Previous I only made some snapshots during holidays. In 2007 I bought a digital SLR and started to make pictures as a hobby and not only during holidays. Since 2009 I try to photograph birds, it's like chasing but the birds stays alive. I've uploaded most of my photos in chronological order, so you can make the journey/hike with me. Pictures of my holidays are in labels starting with an asterix (*). I hope you like my pictures and hope to get constructive comments as I have much to learn. PLEASE NO INVITATIONS FOR GROUPS!!! Greetings from the Netherlands.

Spread the word, Panoramio will go on!!

Greetings Berend,

The brown pastures are actually brown because the grasses are in heavy seed. It has been a good growing season for pastures. If the country were mowed it would look very green.

Over the first range, the valley is that of Bella Creek, a tributary of the Yabba. I have taken you into the Bella Valley on Panoramio previously, and you liked the creek scenery very much.

All the best,

The ranges are forested and have become the domain of deer, whilst these upper valleys are used for grazing cattle. Warm regards from the Mary Valley.

Yes indeed, Berend. There are many roads through and around the forest plantations, and the terrain is interesting as well. One day... you will enjoy it all too.
