Hi, I'm Berend, born in The Hague but I live in Maassluis since 1969. Previous I only made some snapshots during holidays. In 2007 I bought a digital SLR and started to make pictures as a hobby and not only during holidays. Since 2009 I try to photograph birds, it's like chasing but the birds stays alive. I've uploaded most of my photos in chronological order, so you can make the journey/hike with me. Pictures of my holidays are in labels starting with an asterix (*). I hope you like my pictures and hope to get constructive comments as I have much to learn. PLEASE NO INVITATIONS FOR GROUPS!!! Greetings from the Netherlands.

Herb & Berend this shot i had the camera balanced on a rail shot MUP with my hand each side of the camera about 10cm away ready to catch it. D600 + 14mm magic. yes a vewry english church i have to say Herb.Steve

Drew & berend yes a simple church but well made as you can see from the inside. it has an all wooden tile roof as well. Steve

Berend i bet was with the old church but a grand old structure. Steve

Berend thanks for the info once they spotted me on the other side i lost one but the incoming Pukeko from NZ once i spotted these two i look for more. Steve

Berend at 160mm you are right i think i can say the lens did well but i still have yet to believe i have mastered the lens. not many shots with the lens i think it performs very well for the price. Steve

Berend this is 100% not cropped from one side of the river to the next as i hid behind a tree not to frighten the heron away. Steve

Drew & Berend you would not want to fall in this river at the moment not very healthy at all. Lots of birds about to try out the 150-600 on. this day was still till the nightfall after that the whole rest of the long weekend was windy. Steve

Berend i got a shock when i saw it so i ran to in the earlier shots but how could you resist a shot like this way outy with the kids in the water. Steve

Berend what a great idea i 100% agree on this. whole area was set up very well for swimming. Steve

Berend a lot of the town is like this i was trying to find some one home i could ask about going out into the field when i saw this. could not pass this up. Steve
