This was the Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers week 9 in 2007. Brett Favre was the quarterback for Green Bay. Damon Huard was the quarterback for the Chiefs. The Chiefs lost to Green Bay (33-22).
This is Bourbon Street, New Orleans in the morning. They have crews of people who come through and pick up all the trash and clean the streets EVERY night.
The wind farm is quite fascinating. This one can be seen off US Hwy 400 in Kansas (east of Wichita about 45 miles. The wind turbines look rather small in the photo but they are huge. When they build them they bring them in by semi truck in numerous parts (each wing of the turbine on a separate truck).
Here is a link to a site about Kansas Wind Energy Projects--you know it is very windy in Kansas. This is the Elk River Wind Project
This is set up as a museum to see a number of "prairie" houses including a recreation of the log cabin as described in Laura Ingall Wilder's books. They also have a neat little gift shop.

This is actually not the flattest part of Kansas (that would be in Western Kansas). However, with so few trees and it being pretty much flat you can see for miles. This storm took about 2 hours before it got to where I took the photo. It really wasn't a storm as much as thundershowers--rain with a little thunder. Watching a lightening storm in Kansas is incredible.
