Well ofcourse we forget that the landscape of Scotland is not at all natural and has been manipulated over hundreds of years by us so it looks the way it does today for varies reasons. We have become used to the barren hills but really they should be tree covered, but not by commercial tree planting! Luckily Glen Coe is owned by the National Trust for Scotland so its unlikely to change in any bad way.
