Nice color. And behind you is the waste water treatment plant. Now that's contrast!

Falscher Platz des Fotos

The whole beach at the Cap Bon Ami in the Forillion National Park of Canada was full of stone structures like this one. As a big fan of Andy Goldworthy's work, it was very exciting to see. I have no idea, if they have a meaning.

This lake has been declared the most beautiful in the world by many. I actually think a ranking like that is not possible, as there are so many fantastic lakes in the world (just think about alpine lakes, Scotland or Sweden). But I agree with the sentiment nonetheless, as this is truly magnificent.

Birches, particularly those planted in a row, are a symbol of my roots. These birches especially so, since they are guarding over the entrance gate to the cemetery in Estorf where a lot of my ancestors are resting. As a child I always liked to just stand at this spot to have a wide and far view over the land.

I do not like fairs and consider them the opposite of things I do like. But I do love ferris wheels and particularly this one on the Dom in Hamburg. The view over city and harbor is amazing and I have taken a lot of visitors up there while living in Hamburg. Funny about this is the fact that I have acrophobia and get nauseated even standing on a chair - but not in a ferris wheel.
